TRANSCULTURAL SPACES YESTERDAY and TO-DAY
This year’s Study Days will take place in Paris and are organised in partnership with the Unité TRansversale de Psychogénèse et Psychopathologie (UTRPP, UR 4403) of the Université Sorbonne Paris Nord.
Since 1985, the European Association for Transcultural Group Analysis (EATGA) has been exploring the conscious and unconscious cultural foundations of individuals and groups. EATGA has been reflecting on settings of intervention based on group analysis.
The aims are to explore the inter-/transcultural relationships and to look for ways to overcome tensions and cultural gaps in the encounter with the other.
Each year, the annual scientific days take place in a different European country, in a different working site setting and in a different atmosphere. This travel experience and these visits help health care professionals to open up for the group work in order to understand the cultural dimensions of our internal world. EATGA members and other professionals are invited to participate in a group experience based on a current theme and an intercultural group setting.
